Boat Hire Open For Easter

Boat Hire Easter

Well I am delighted to announce we’ve gone and done it. We’ve launched and we’re up and running for boat hire right over Easter on onwards.

SunFlame was launched this weekend and she is fully licensed and ready to go.

This year we’ve made a few modifications including spanking new windows all around (don’t they look very smart?) and new stop switches near the steering wheels.

We’re also going to be adding lots of other goodies as the season progresses, all part of being the “highest quality boat hire company in Cornwall”. More about that later.

Give us a call, or come and see us for a chat on the Quay.

Fal River

Fal River Falmouth

There are some wonderful views of the Fal River from various vantage points dotted around the estuary. This particular shot was taken early one winter morning from the National Maritime Museum.

You are looking back on to the town of Falmouth and you can see Custom House Quay quite clearly, which is where we operate from.

Nice shot, hey if you take a shot like this, put it on our facebook page.

Brad Pitt Falmouth : Cornwall

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that the press were swarming around the quay to get an exclusive shot of Brad Pitt.

We’ll I’m delighted to reveal that Falmouth Boat Hire got the first ever shot of Brad Pitt in Falmouth!

We are delighted to have carried the press out on boats who shot the above picture (one of several). Shots were taken on board and then transferred to laptops in cars and uploaded to the news outlets, the first of which was The Daily Mail Online.

We beat all the local and regional press to it, including the Falmouth Packet and Western Morning News.

Yes, we do rock!

Brad Pitt Falmouth

Today was quite an interesting day with dozens of paparazzi hovering around Custom House Quay looking for a way to get out to boat moored off the Northern Arm in Falmouth Docks. Why you may ask?

Well Brad Pitt is in town and he’s apparently producing and acting in a new film about zombies. Looking over at the docks I saw the boat in question which looked as if it had been waxed up to appear to look like ice or snow, having returned from the antarctic.

We hired a few boats out to the press who were seeking those exclusive shots of Brad Pitt and while we don’t have any to show you yet we may well have some soon.

Being so close to action I’m sure Brat Pitt will show up someone before too long.

Naturally the best way to possibly get to see Brad Pitt in Falmouth is indeed by hiring a boat from us!

Give us a call.

Trelissick Gardens

trelissick gardens

This is a lovely shot of Trelissick Gardens and Trelissick House taken from one of our self-drive boats. This is an example of some of the amazing scenery to be discovered in Cornwall when you hire a boat.

We’ll be bringing you many more pictures of the secrets of the River Fal in due course. But, what we’d really love is for you to come hire a boat and upload your own shots and share them with us!

Falmouth Tourist Information

falmouth tourist informationThere has been all kinds of discussion and debate surrounding the falmouth tourist information office over the last couple of months, I guess due to the somewhat contentious closure of the information office.

I won’t go into vast details but if you do visit Falmouth you might wonder what has happened or is happening to the Falmouth Tourist Information office, and to be honest I’m not entirely sure yet myself what is occurring.

There have been numerous rumours about the office being run by local businesses rather than being funded by the council but at this stage I’m not entirely aware of the outcome.

In any case, if you visit us on the Quay we’ll be more than happy to provide you with Falmouth Tourist Information because we are local and we have “the knowledge”.

Catch you on the flip side.

Yes! – we do get excited when we launch new boats this one will be immaculate and shiny as Chas has carried out some impressive re-fitting through the winter to bring this boat up to scratch. The boat I’m talking about is called Moondust and I can remember an older incarnation of Moondust from almost 30 years ago.

So if you do opt for a boat hire falmouth option you might do well to ask if Moondust is available, not that our other boats are not up to scratch but Moondust is going to stand out for sure!

Boat hire Falmouth, it’s our business, give us a call to book a boat.

Falmouth Boat Trips

People often come down to Custom House Quay (our home) looking for falmouth boat trips and that’s because the quay and what it has to offer really does provide everything you could wish for in boating trips from Falmouth!

A little bit of history will reveal that Falmouth Boat Hire has in one form or another been letting self drive hire boats out for about 50 years, yes 50 years! Sometimes I even pinch myself that I’m able to spend many hours outside in the fresh seaside air letting boats and meeting new people! I guess though that is due to an element of nostalgia because Chas and myself used to work on the boats as teenage lads, after school, school holidays etc – we’ve seen a great deal!

So each time I hear the phrase Falmouth boat trips obviously I’m very keen to ensure you get a boat trip from Falmouth that excels, that provides you with an experience on the water that is second to none.

Don’t take my word for it though, take a Falmouth boat trip with us, you’ll never forget it!
